Heidi Krupp, CEO, Krupp Kommunication, Inc. (K2)

Heidi Krupp, Chief Executive Officer

Heidi Krupp founded Krupp Kommunications (K2), an award winning full-service public relations, branding and marketing agency specializing in publishing, entertainment, and lifestyle brands. A seventeen-year veteran of media, marketing, promotion, and production in the entertainment industry, Heidi started K2 in 1996 and built it into an industry leader with a proven track record for creating and executing innovative and multi-tiered branding and marketing initiatives.

Her leadership has sparked unique strategic programs on the behalf of authors, consumer products, globally recognized brands, and thought leaders who are committed to improving lives and the world around us. Through these initiatives, K2 has placed over 50 books on the New York Times bestseller lists, including the #1bestsellers The South Beach Diet, The Perricone Prescription, Your Best Life Now, A Deadly Game, Relationship Rescue, Nightfall, and America.

But Heidi’s expertise is not limited to promoting books. She and her team have lead publicity and event campaigns for Weight Watchers, the Screen Actor’s Guild, Sony/BMG, and many others as well as executed speaking and sponsorship programs and product placement initiatives. Her publishing work also transcends publicity: She sees the book as a vehicle as a way to build, expand, and enhance a brand, such as The South Beach Diet, which K2 helped grow into a movement that changed the way America eats. Her work with the personal finance expert Jean Chatzky led not only to New York Times’ Bestsellers but also her being named one of Oprah’s friends and her own radio show on the Oprah & Friends Channel on XM Radio.

Prior to founding K2, Heidi played an integral role at ABC News at “ABC News 20/20”." Her production and publicity experience at ABC garnered credits including her first publicity credit for Barbara Walters “Fascinating People” premiere, associate producer and publicist for Catherine Crier’s “America’s War on Drugs: Searching for Solutions,” and producer for “Common Sense with John Stossel.”

A native of Pittsburgh, PA and a graduate of Ohio University with a bachelors’ degree in journalism and communications, Heidi is a member of Women in Communications, the Public Relations Society of America, American Business Women Association, The Entertainment Publicist Professional Society, and The National Association of Female Executives. She can often be spotted dashing around town with her six-year-old Yorkie, Isaac, who has become not only a beloved pet, but the K2 mascot as well. Heidi resides in New York City with her husband, Darren.
